Terms of Service

Last updated [[ date ]]
Draft — not yet reviewed This document is a starting point generated from how Trip Munshi actually works today. The highlighted fields need your real business details, and the whole thing should be reviewed by a lawyer before you link it publicly or apply for a payment gateway.

These terms govern your use of Trip Munshi (the "Service"), operated by [[ legal entity name ]], [[ registered address ]], GSTIN [[ GSTIN ]] ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them.

1. The Service

Trip Munshi is a subscription web application for freight booking companies. It records orders, the receivable owed to you by a Company, the payable you owe a Fleet Owner, and the reports built on top of those records. We provide the software; we are not a party to any freight contract, and we do not transport goods, arrange carriage, or act as an agent between you and your customers or fleet owners.

2. Accounts

3. Free trial

New accounts receive 14 days of full access at no charge and without a payment method. At the end of the trial you must choose a paid plan to continue adding new work. We do not charge you automatically at any point — see section 4.

4. Plans, payment and GST

5. Refunds and cancellation

You may stop using the Service at any time; because nothing is auto-charged, cancelling simply means not paying for the next period. [[ refund policy — e.g. "Fees already paid are non-refundable, except…" ]]

6. Your data

The orders, ledgers, parties, documents and reports you enter remain yours. We claim no ownership over them. We use them only to operate the Service for you, and we do not sell them or share them with other customers. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Each organisation's records are separated from every other organisation's, and access is limited to the users you invite.

7. Export and deletion

While your account is active you can export your organisation's data at any time from Data Export — a ZIP of CSV files covering your orders, parties, invoices and payments. [[ retention: how long data is kept after cancellation before deletion, e.g. 90 days ]]. You can ask us to delete your data sooner by writing to tripmunshi@gmail.com.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully; upload content you have no right to; attempt to access another organisation's data; probe, scan or overload the Service; resell or white-label it without our written agreement; or reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law.

9. Availability

We work to keep the Service available and backed up, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. Planned maintenance will be announced where practical. [[ uptime commitment, if you offer one ]]

10. Limitation of liability

Trip Munshi is a record-keeping tool. Business decisions you make from it — extending credit, releasing an advance, settling a fleet owner, filing a return — remain yours, and you are responsible for verifying figures before you act on them. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the [[ e.g. 3 ]] months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost business.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [[ city ]] have exclusive jurisdiction.
